Unvibe is a desktop overlay for Mac and Windows that explains AI-generated code you select. Press Control+U on Mac or Ctrl+Alt+U on Windows in any app to open a panel that streams explanations in plain English at depths from New to Advanced. You can ask follow-up questions about the code without pasting it into a chat, take a one-question quiz to check understanding, and save lessons to your Library for later review. Keys and tokens in code are filtered on your computer before being sent. Free explanations have a monthly limit and require no credit card or API key.

Unvibe is a free desktop app for Mac and Windows. You select code in any app and press Control+U (Ctrl+Alt+U on Windows). A panel beside your editor explains the code at your chosen depth. You can ask follow-ups, take a Test me quiz, and save lessons to your Library.
Unvibe works with any app where you can select code, including Cursor, VS Code, Xcode, Terminal, and web browsers. In Cursor and VS Code, an optional editor bridge adds ⌘U (Ctrl+U on Windows).
Only the selected code with its file name and language, plus any follow-up questions you type. Keys and tokens in the code are filtered on your computer first. With Pro, some nearby code is sent for context, but your repo is never uploaded.
Yes, AI can be wrong even when it sounds sure. Each explanation appears next to the code it describes so you can verify it, and Test me helps you spot what doesn't add up.
