Why would an agent send feedback?
Because you ask it to. The protocol ships standard agent instructions and a tool definition. Agents using your API through MCP get submit_feedback like any other tool, and every error response links to the endpoint.

Catch where AI agents get stuck on your API or MCP server, rank problems by impact, and draft fixes as pull requests

Platform that detects where AI agents fail on your API or MCP server, prioritizes issues by impact, and proposes code fixes for approval.

Backloop helps API and MCP server owners understand why AI agents fail to complete tasks. The platform catches agent failures by instrumenting your API or MCP server, clustering reports from multiple agents, and ranking issues by impact across failed tasks, affected accounts, and workarounds. When your API returns 200 but the agent still failed, Backloop reveals the gap. Claude Code then drafts the fix, runs your tests, and waits for your approval before opening a draft pull request. Nothing ships without your decision.

Most don't. On an MCP server, instrumentServer records each session. Backloop judges it once it goes idle and files a failed session as a problem, with the replay as evidence. Reports and sessions land in the same clusters.
Schema validation, per-account rate limits and de-duplication per agent run. Feedback is treated as data in every prompt. Only human-written text is sent back to agents. The coding agent gets no web tools and can't push, and nothing ships without approval.
No. The protocol is open. Implement POST /feedback, store the records, read them yourself. The platform is for teams that want clustering, prioritization and the path to a PR handled.
One investigation: the coding agent works an issue in an isolated worktree and runs your tests. It only starts when someone on your team clicks. Reports, sessions, clustering, prioritization and issue drafts aren't metered.
