The story so far
A9 Voice is a Windows app with two parts. Transcribe lets you hold a key and dictate into any app, free with no limits and no account. Notes records meetings, videos and voice memos and turns them into transcripts and summaries saved as plain Markdown files on your PC; it is free for 30 days, then $49 once. It records your microphone and computer audio on your PC so no bot joins your calls. Speaker names are tagged once or learned by voice recognition. Everything works offline with models running on your PC, or you can bring your own API keys and pay providers directly.

No. It records your microphone and your computer's audio on your PC, so nobody sees an assistant in the participant list.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Download a speech model in Settings and dictation and meeting transcripts work with no internet. For summaries and Ask offline, point A9 Voice at a language model running on your PC.
Does it work in my language?
Yes, in more than 60 languages for dictation and meeting notes, depending on the speech engine you pick. A new install on Windows in another language starts in that language, summaries come back in the meeting's language, and Ask answers in the language you ask in.
Where do my notes go?
Into a folder you pick on your PC, as plain Markdown files (summary.md, transcript.md and an images folder). Claude, ChatGPT or any tool that reads files can use them. Voiceprints never leave your PC.
