About People & Profiles

Most launches put a product on the table. These put the maker there instead. People & Profiles collects pages where the human is the thing being shown: the story behind a bootstrapped project, a small corner of the web with a name over the door, a body of work laid out for hire, a tidy stack of links in a single spot. Think of it as the credits roll, pasted to the front of the zine.

Everything in this category and its subcategories lands on a single page, with filters to narrow it down. Newest launches sit at the top by default; switch the sort to community votes if you would rather follow the crowd. Compare pages on what they prove: shipped work, recent updates, and a way to get in touch without hunting through menus.

People & Profiles: questions answered

What counts as a profile page here?
Anything whose main subject is a person or their body of work: a founder's story, a personal site, a portfolio or a links hub. If the page mostly exists to sell a product, it belongs in a product category instead.
How do I pick between the subcategories?
Go by the page's main job. Telling a founder's story suits founder profiles. A home for your whole presence suits personal websites. Winning clients with samples suits portfolios. Pointing visitors elsewhere suits link pages. Choose the closest fit and move on.
How do I get my page listed?
Head to /submit, drop in your site's URL, and an AI sketches a draft profile from it. You read through and correct each field; nothing goes live until you have. A paid launch costs $5, while a free listing waits in a queue of about 6-8 weeks.
Can a portfolio also sit under personal websites?
Yes, with the extra-categories upgrade, which costs $5. Without it, your listing stays in the single main category chosen at submission, which is free. Pick the main one by what visitors will mostly come for.
How are listings ordered?
Newest arrivals appear first. Visitors can switch the sort to community votes, and votes can never be bought, so a high position reflects real interest from other people rather than spend.
