Throttle is a macOS utility for developers using Claude Code. It displays your 5-hour and weekly usage limits in the menu bar with predictive notifications approximately 2 hours before hitting your cap. The app manages multiple Claude projects simultaneously through a unified cockpit interface while monitoring system memory pressure.

Throttle reduces token consumption through multiple optimization tools. The AI Optimizer proposes leaner configurations, Autopilot applies concise output styles system-wide, and the context trimmer removes re-charged images from past sessions. Local OCR converts screenshots to text for fewer tokens than vision images.

All processing occurs locally on your Mac with no telemetry, no account required, and no data transmission of your prompts or code. The app manages MCP servers, searches past sessions, and provides session memory hygiene. Changes are reversible and backed up before execution.
