Perry the Prompter is a Chrome extension that rewrites rough prompts into clear, structured ones that AI systems understand on the first try. Users set up a profile once describing their role, preferred detail level and communication style, then click Perry when sending a message to any of seven supported chat apps: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Vibe and Grok.

The extension leaves blanks for details only the user knows rather than guessing, preserves the user's chosen language, and can be adjusted with follow-up refinements like "Shorter," "Longer," "Formal" or "Casual." All rewrites are reversible with one click. The free plan includes 5 improvements per week and access to all seven chat apps; the Pro plan offers unlimited improvements, a more thorough rewriting model, prompt history and a searchable library.
