A validation API that checks phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses and domains, returning structured findings with their sources and explicit capability limits.
Orisift is a technical data-quality service that validates phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses and domains. For each input, it performs format checks, public DNS queries and lookups against publicly documented registries, then returns a structured assessment with evidence of what it could establish and explicit labels of what it could not.
All four validation types use the same endpoint and return the same JSON response shape. Every signal names its source, every gap is labelled, and optional policy-based recommended actions are included. Phone, email and IP checks each cost one credit; domain checks cost two credits because they run six DNS queries.
The service is designed for developers building data-quality and risk-screening workflows. Results state precisely which capabilities are offered and which are not: the service does not confirm mailbox existence, does not dial phone numbers, does not identify carriers, and does not maintain threat-intelligence feeds.

Free: 500 credits once on signup, no card required. Starter: £19/month for 20,000 credits per month. Growth: £49/month for 85,000 credits per month. Professional: £149/month for 300,000 credits per month. Phone, email and IP checks cost 1 credit each; domain checks cost 2 credits.

Yes. Signup and subscription credit grants remain usable for 90 days from the date they were granted. Your balance shows the earliest expiry date, and the expiry job never pushes a balance below zero.
Not when the failure is ours. If the service errors, the credit reservation is released and you are not billed. A completed check is charged at its quoted cost, including a rejected or inconclusive verdict: 1 credit for phone, email or IP, and 2 for a domain.
Yes. Three live previews a day with no account at all, and 500 credits once when you create one, not every month. No card is required for either.
Send an Idempotency-Key header and a retry returns the original result without spending a second credit. Without the header, identical requests from the same account within the same fixed ten-second time bucket are deduplicated automatically.
