heysteff SDK is an official TypeScript library that wraps the heysteff API v1 with built-in types, automatic retries, and webhook verification. It has no dependencies and uses the Fetch API, making it compatible with Node 20+, Deno, Bun, and Cloudflare Workers.
The SDK supports sending messages across channels like WhatsApp Cloud, uploading and managing media files, using templates, paginating through lists, and handling errors with detailed codes and suggestions. It includes automatic retries for network failures and HTTP 5xx errors, respecting Retry-After headers, and implements idempotency to prevent duplicate message or payment submissions.
Developers can verify incoming webhooks using the built-in verification function, which checks signatures and timestamps. The library provides access to all heysteff API endpoints for contacts, conversations, campaigns, flows, charges, refunds, and more.

How does the SDK handle network failures and retries?
The SDK automatically retries up to two times on network failures, HTTP 429 and 5xx errors, with increasing delays and respects the Retry-After header from responses.
How does idempotency work in the SDK?
The SDK generates an idempotency key per call for endpoints supporting Idempotency-Key (messages, campaigns, flows, charges, refunds) and repeats it on retries, ensuring messages or payments never go out twice. You can provide your own key to maintain idempotency across system restarts.
How do I verify incoming webhooks?
Use the verifyWebhook function with the raw request body (before JSON parsing), request headers, and your webhook secret. It checks the X-Heysteff-Signature header and ensures X-Heysteff-Timestamp is less than 5 minutes old.
