Ahrefs Domain Rating set in type 3 Nov 2026, reset 3 Nov 2026.
A free web tool that instantly calculates test grades and generates printable grading charts across three grading scales: strict, standard, and lenient.

EZGrader replaces the cardboard slide chart from teacher supply catalogs with a free, browser-based grading tool. Enter the total number of questions and the number of wrong answers to instantly see the percentage score and letter grade, with an automatically generated chart showing every possible outcome.
The tool supports three grading scales used by US schools: the standard 10-point scale (A from 90%, pass at 60%), the stricter 7-point scale (A from 93%, pass at 70%), and a lenient scale (A from 85%, pass at 50%). Teachers can customize grading by enabling half-point deductions for partial credit, adding a GPA points column, or setting a maximum of up to 200 questions.
All calculations run in the browser with no data collection or accounts required. Teachers can print clean charts or download the table as CSV for use in gradebooks or spreadsheets. The site works offline and stores nothing—grading data never leaves the device.

Tick the half-point deductions box. The wrong-answer input then accepts .5 values (like 3.5 for three fully wrong plus two half deductions), and the chart doubles its rows so every half-step gets its own line.
The chart goes up to 200 questions—far past a typical quiz. Longer exams are best graded per section anyway, since students usually need a score per section.
No. The numbers you type are worked out in your browser—no accounts, no uploads, nothing entered is sent or saved. You can load the page, go offline, and keep grading.
Whatever your syllabus says — the scale is a policy, not a fact. Standard (A starts at 90, pass at 60) is the most common in US schools. Strict (A at 93, pass at 70) is the older 7-point scale some districts still use. Lenient (A at 85, pass at 50) fits standards-based or generous systems. All three are printed side by side on the letter grade scales page.
