Fencing all four sides is 80 ft. As an enclosed loop of 6-ft privacy fence with one 4-ft gate, that requires 10 sections, 12 posts, 32 rails and 179 boards with waste, set with 24 bags of 80-lb concrete.
For 8-ft spacing with no gate, you need 26 posts. At 6-ft spacing, 35 posts are needed, and at 10-ft spacing, 21 posts. Each gate adds two more posts, and every corner of a U- or L-shaped layout needs its own post.
A 4×4 post in a 10-in hole 2 ft deep requires 0.92 cu ft to fill: 2 bags of 80-lb mix, or 3 of the 60-lb or 50-lb size. For 150 ft of 6-ft fence on 20 posts that totals 40 bags of 80-lb or 60 of the 60-lb size.
Divide each section's clear width by the board width plus any gap and round up, then multiply by the number of sections. For 1×6 boards butted together on 8-ft spacing that is 17 per section, about 2.1 boards per foot of fence; spaced 1×4 pickets with a 2.5-in gap come to 2 per foot.
At 6 ft tall and 8-ft spacing, 19 sections take 57 rails, or 60 with 5% waste. A 4-ft fence on the same line needs 40 with waste and an 8-ft fence needs 80.
