SerpKite is a Google SERP API designed for AI agents and the developers building them. It delivers live Google search results in JSON or Markdown format, with official SDKs for TypeScript, Python, and Go, plus an MCP server for Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT.

The service provides access to twelve search verticals including web search, news, images, videos, maps, places, shopping, and scholar results, all queryable through one API key. Results include knowledge graphs, answer boxes, and People Also Ask data in the same credit. Agents can fetch top result pages as Markdown, extract structured JSON from any page matching a schema, generate cited answers powered by Claude Haiku, and create deep research reports.

SerpKite includes automatic fallback to Brave, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Yahoo, or Yandex when Google blocks requests, and a consensus mode that merges results from multiple engines. Pricing is per-search with non-expiring credits: free tier gets 2,500 credits at signup plus 1,000 monthly; paid packs range from $10 to $300. Failed requests are refunded, and every response includes cost and balance headers.

Questions and answers

What is a credit?

One credit is one Google results page (up to 10 organic results) from /v1/search or any core vertical. Autocomplete, batch jobs and cache hits cost 0.5, and num=100 is a 7-credit depth bundle.

Do credits expire?

No. Credits purchased never expire and packs stack. You can use them whenever you want over months or years.

Am I charged for failed requests?

No. Failed, empty and blocked requests are refunded. Every response includes X-Credits-Used and X-Credits-Remaining headers so you can verify costs.

Is there an SDK?

Yes. Official SDKs are available for TypeScript (npm install serpkite), Python (pip install serpkite) and Go, plus integrations like langchain-serpkite and serpkite[crewai], or call the /v1 HTTP API directly.

Is there a free tier?

Yes: 1,000 credits when you sign up, 1,500 more when you link GitHub or Google, and 1,000 free credits every month after that. No credit card required.
