OpenDocs turns Markdown into organized, shareable links and on-brand PDF and Word files. Your agent handles it in one command.
The story so far
Homepage of OpenDocs
OpenDocs is a publishing layer for Markdown-native teams that lets AI agents write documents and publish them to shareable links and branded PDF and Word files automatically. Your agent writes Markdown, OpenDocs files it in the right project, shares it as a link and exports on-brand PDF and Word files. Documents are organized in projects like repositories, every version is kept with full history, and you can roll back in one command. Set your colors, font, logo and footer once and every exported PDF and Word file follows them automatically.

Pricing
Pricing model: Freemium
Free plan: 0, up to 50 documents. Pro: $4/month (founding-member price, locked in while subscribed, ends December 1; regular price $8/month), unlimited documents, Word export, custom export footer. Team: $4/user/month (3 seats minimum, from $12/month).
OpenDocs solves the friction of sharing Markdown files in AI workflows. Instead of telling your team to open files in Obsidian or pushing to a repository, you can publish any Markdown file to a shareable URL in seconds, straight from the terminal or via your AI agent.
Which AI agents work with OpenDocs?
OpenDocs works with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Cline, Aider, Hermes Agent, Codex, OpenClaw, and any tool that can run terminal commands or make HTTP requests. You install the OpenDocs skill for agents that support skill files, or use the CLI directly.
Can I publish without an account?
Yes, for quick throwaway links. Run opendocs publish notes.md --anonymous to get a link anyone can open for 24 hours, plus a claim link. To keep the document, sign up within 24 hours or open the claim link; otherwise it is deleted. Signing up is free for up to 50 documents.
Do readers need an OpenDocs account to view documents?
No for public documents or anonymous 24-hour links. Workspace documents are only visible to members of your workspace. To share a document with someone outside your team, use opendocs share to send it to their email; they sign in with a one-time code and can read only what you shared.
