The story so far
Homepage of Morse Code Translator
Morse Code Translator is a free, browser-based utility for converting between text and morse code. Type or paste text to instantly encode it as dots and dashes, or paste morse code to decode it back to English. The tool plays audio at adjustable speeds from 5 to 40 WPM, flashes light in sync with playback, supports vibration feedback, and lets you download messages as WAV files for ringtones or sharing. All processing happens in your browser with no data uploads or sign-up required. It supports all letters, digits, punctuation marks, and procedural signals (prosigns), flagging unsupported characters visibly rather than silently dropping them.

Type or paste English text into the translator box and it instantly converts to dots and dashes as you type. Letters are separated by spaces and words by a forward slash (/). Press play to hear it at your chosen speed, copy it with one click, or download it as a WAV file.
How do I decode Morse code back to English?
Paste dots and dashes into the same box and the translator auto-detects morse input, decoding it to English in real time. It tolerates extra spaces, line breaks, and mixed separators, so code copied from forums or puzzles still decodes correctly.
Is this Morse code translator free?
Yes, it is completely free with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limits. There are no ads on the tool, and every feature is available immediately, including audio playback, speed controls, and WAV audio downloads.
Does the translator save or upload my text?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent to a server, stored, or logged in any way, so you can translate private or sensitive messages with full confidence.
What characters are supported?
All letters A–Z, digits 0–9, and common punctuation including period, comma, question mark, exclamation mark, apostrophe, slash, parentheses, and the @ sign. Characters with no Morse equivalent, like emoji, are flagged with a visible # marker instead of being silently dropped.
