The service prices every component separately—text input and output, cached tokens, audio, and reasoning tokens—using rates synced daily from each provider's published schedule. It helps developers spot cost spikes in real-time rather than at month-end, understand which features are expensive, decide whether to switch models based on quality benchmarks, and calculate per-customer profitability.

AI cost tracking records what each call to an AI model costs at the moment it happens, with labels for which feature and which customer it was for. A provider invoice gives one monthly total per model, but cost tracking splits that total so you can see which part of your product and which customer is spending it.
