A plugin that keeps coding-agent sessions private with secrets removed, enabling agents to understand why code changed, access memory across sessions, and apply

The story so far

Homepage of KeepPlain

KeepPlain is a plugin that stores and organizes coding-agent sessions from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Pi and Antigravity. It removes secrets on your machine before storing sessions, then makes them searchable so agents can understand why any line of code changed, pick up incomplete tasks across different agents, and handoff work when hitting token limits. Users can create rules from repeated corrections that every agent reads, condense hours of work into key moments, and share sessions publicly as Builds in a session library. For teams, it provides shared memory, reviewed team rules, session tracking on pull requests, and insights into agent usage and costs.

Typeset features

Questions and answers

What is an active seat and how is team pricing calculated?

An active seat is someone whose session reached the team space that month. People who only read, review rules or look at insights don't count. Teams pay $20 per active seat per month when billed yearly, with a minimum of 3 seats.

How does the plugin handle secrets and private data?

Env files and key files never leave your machine—only their names are stored. Other secrets like keys, tokens, connection strings and email addresses are replaced on your machine before the session is sent. The server checks again and replaces anything it finds.

Will KeepPlain stay free for personal use?

Yes, the plan is to keep personal use free indefinitely. Teams paying for their seats supports the free tier. At least 30 days notice will be given before any limits change, and you can download everything anytime.

Does KeepPlain use my Claude or Codex API limits?

No. The plugin reads session files on your disk and labels them with KeepPlain's own API key, not your Claude or Codex credentials.

Can team data stay on our own servers?

Yes. An owner can move the team's sessions, builds, tasks and rules to a PostgreSQL database you run. One command connects it without opening ports, and KeepPlain keeps no copy of the data.
