The story so far
InkOut PDF permanently removes text from PDFs in your browser. Draw boxes or search for words to mark content for redaction, then export. The tool rebuilds redacted pages as flat images with the boxes burned in, strips metadata, and scans the exported file to verify that covered text has been deleted.
Unlike black boxes drawn in standard PDF editors—which only cover text but leave it selectable in the file—InkOut's redaction deletes the underlying content. Files up to 5 pages are free with manual redaction boxes. Pro plans add unlimited pages, keyword search-and-redact, and multiple file support. Your files never leave your device.

How do I know it worked?
After export, InkOut re-opens the new file and runs six checks, including a search of the whole file for the text you covered. If any check fails, you see Review needed and can't download the file.
Is my file uploaded?
No. InkOut reads, redacts and checks your PDF in your browser. No file, page image or extracted text is sent to InkOut's servers.
Does InkOut work offline?
No. You must stay connected to the internet while you use it.
Can I get a refund?
If Pro didn't work and InkOut couldn't fix it in reasonable time, you get a full refund when you ask within 14 days of your first purchase. Duplicate or unauthorized charges are refunded whenever you report them.
