ChatSweep lets you select and delete multiple ChatGPT conversations at once, or archive them while keeping their contents, with safety checks and confirmation.
ChatSweep is a Chrome extension that helps you manage your ChatGPT conversation sidebar. It lets you select loaded chats, review them, and then delete or archive them in a single batch, rather than one at a time. Deleted chats cannot be restored; archived chats are removed from the sidebar but their contents are preserved. The extension protects your current conversation and includes safety checks that stop if page controls cannot be verified.

Only chats already loaded in ChatGPT's sidebar can be selected. To access older chats, scroll the sidebar to load more history first, then refresh the extension's selector. The extension does not automatically fetch your entire history.
No. The open conversation is excluded from selection and stays protected. If you switch into a selected chat while a cleanup is running, the extension pauses to protect it.
Delete removes conversations and usually cannot be undone. Archive removes them from the sidebar while keeping their contents. ChatSweep lets you select loaded chats and confirm a batch, but does not automatically fetch or erase your entire history. Bulk archive is available with Pro and Lifetime plans.
ChatSweep does not clear ChatGPT's Memory setting. Removing chats and clearing Memory are separate actions. ChatSweep reads loaded sidebar titles to show your selection but does not read message contents or upload chat titles. Only your account, billing status, activation and entitlement checks go to the server.
The extension checks the controls it needs before acting. If those controls or the result cannot be verified, it stops instead of guessing or retrying uncertain deletions. A later ChatGPT update may require an extension update.
