Broken Link Checker is a free Chrome extension that scans any webpage for broken links, 404 errors, server errors, timeouts and unreachable URLs in seconds. Results are color-coded—red for broken links, yellow for redirects, green for working links—and can be exported as CSV. It requires no account, no setup, and runs only when you click to scan, leaving your browsing unaffected. A Lifetime License upgrade adds sitemap health checking, bulk URL scanning, image checking, scan history and PDF export.

Why is the free plan limited to 150 links per scan?
Most blog posts and landing pages have well under 150 links, so the free plan covers most pages completely. For larger pages, the Lifetime License removes the cap.
Can it check my whole website, not just one page?
The free version checks the page you are on. The Lifetime License adds a Sitemap health checker that works through XML sitemap URLs and a Bulk URL checker that tests 20 URLs at a time.
Does it find broken images?
Yes, with the Lifetime License. Its Image checker flags images on the page that fail to load, alongside the regular link scan.
Will it slow down my browser?
No. The extension only runs when you click Scan and does nothing in the background while you browse normally.
